Ingredients and Equipment Needed to Make Dutch Bros Electric Berry

The base ingredient can vary depending on what Electric Berry you will be making, but these are all simple ingredients and you can choose to make only one version or all of them!

Flavored Syrup

No matter what your preferred base is, you will need these two key ingredients: blue raspberry syrup and lime syrup. You can also use fresh lime juice but lime syrup is also fine. These are the two flavors that make the Electric Berry.

Base Options

As I mentioned earlier, there are different base options you can choose from if you want to make Dutch Bros’ Electric Berry at home.

Green or Black Tea: Depending on your preference, you can choose between a light, earthy green tea flavor or a smoky, nutty black tea flavor. Use 2 to 3 teabags if brewing over ice since the ice can dilute the flavor of the tea.

Energy drink: For an energizing drink, you can use one 8 or 12 oz Red Bull. You can use the regular version or the sugar-free version depending on your preference. Dutch Bros actually uses its own energy drink called “Rebel” but it is not available online or at local stores.

Lemonade. If you want your Electric Berry to be extra tangy, go with a lemonade base. You can make your own lemonade but if you want something quick and easy, store-bought lemonade is fine.

Sparkling water: For a soda-like Electric Berry, use sparkling water. You can use flavored sparkling water but it will definitely change the flavors of your drink.

Ice Cubes

Whether you make an iced or blended Electric Berry, you will need ice.

Blender

For blended Electric Berry, you can use a blender to blend all the ingredients together.

Kettle or Saucepan

If you do the iced tea version of the Electric Berry, you will need a saucepan or kettle to heat water.

Tall Glass and Mixing Tool

You’ll also need a glass and a straw or other mixing tool to mix your drink with.

Step-By-Step Instructions

Once you have all the ingredients you need, it’s time to make your Electric Berry!

Electric Berry Iced Tea

  1. Bring 8 oz water to a boil using a saucepan or kettle.
  2. Once the water starts to boil, turn off the stove if using a saucepan.
  3. Pour the water into a glass and steep 2 to 3 tea bags of your choice according to the package instructions.
  4. Once steeped, add the ice cubes, 1 pump or tablespoon of blue raspberry syrup, and lime syrup.
  5. Mix everything together and enjoy!

Alternatively, you can do a cold brew tea by preparing it the night before so your tea will be ready for your Electric Berry the next day.

You can use 4 to 5 large teabags for every liter of water. Let it steep in the fridge or at room temperature overnight for up to 12 hours.

Once you are ready to make your drink, just pour 8 oz of cold brew tea into a glass filled with ice, add 1 pump of the flavored syrups, and mix everything together.

Electric Berry Sparkling Soda

  2. Add 1 pump or tablespoon of blue raspberry syrup and lime syrup or juice into your glass.
  3. Add 8 oz of sparkling water into the glass.
  4. Stir everything together and enjoy!

To Make a Blended Electric Berry

Except for the Electric Berry Iced Tea, you can make a blended drink with the base of your choice. Just add all the ingredients in the blender, plus more ice, and blend to your liking!

Can You Customize the Dutch Bros Electric Berry

Yes, of course! I just wouldn’t change the blue raspberry and lime syrup as it won’t be an Electric Berry anymore if you use other flavored syrup. But, you are welcome to try out other flavors and create other drinks!

One way to customize your Electric Berry is by opting to use sugar-free instead of the regular Red Bull or lemonade. You can also add whipped cream if you do the Electric Berry soda as an extra treat.

If you want more of that flavored syrup flavor, you can add more pumps of either the blue raspberry, lime, or both. Using fresh lime juice can also cut the sugar a little bit on your drink.

This is a very simple recipe and you can definitely customize it to your heart’s content!

Wrapping Up

Making Dutch Bros’ Electric Berry at home is very easy. It won’t taste exactly the same since Dutch Bros has its own energy drink, signature lemonade, tea, and exclusive sparkling water.

But, this homemade version is refreshing, delicious, and can beat the summer heat! You can also save money and make this at home any time you want.
